Rotating this way doesn’t push or pull air
Men and women live in a giant silo underground, subject to a series of regulations that are supposed to protect them from the toxic and broken world above. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about. Season 1 is "The Silo" – the book consists of 82 chapters. The fans on the floor are turned the wrong way in various episodes, in terms of the orientation of the blades.
First of all, I love dystopian literature!
Featured on WatchMojo: The 10 Best TV Shows of 2023 That Should Be Overrated (2023). My first review was years ago when I read the Hughes trilogy and really enjoyed the books. When I was randomly scrolling through IMDB and found SILO, it immediately piqued my interest. I see mixed reviews, and I can relate to some of them, here is my review of the first season.
It is not an adaptation in the sense that it follows the story
The dystopian genre offers a unique psychological perspective on human nature in hypothetical scenarios. My affection for the trilogy was solidified because Hughes managed to develop Orwellian ideas in a hypothetical framework that is relevant to the modern world. Depicting the development of the human psyche in dystopian scenarios is a challenging task. I think Hughes did a great job, SILO captures these aspects in a refreshing way.
The acting is phenomenal for the central characters
It is based on the books, but of course it has to adapt to the viewer in a fast-paced world. Nevertheless, the series manages to capture the atmosphere of a society living in silos. Unlike the shallow storytelling of other shows, “SILO” has a wonderful blend of character development and atmospheric focus. My only problem with the show is the lack of atmospheric development.
They spend a lot of screen time chasing and capturing Juliette
They lack the atmospheric development of the silo as a society. Of course, the audience that receives it has to like it.
