The best new show on the market after the disappointing 4th season of Jack Ryan and lackluster shows everywhere, this felt so much better in every way. It feels very well done and the action/fight scenes are fantastic.
Great acting by all
I feel like most of the criticism of this show in the comments section is how unrealistic it is because of the whole female operator thing, and me, as a guy, doesn’t care about a good female action show. It’s an original IP that doesn’t make a male lead a female lead.
Also, I haven’t seen any red flags so far that would make all men ineligible or anything like that
I also thought at first it would be another mindless action show at first glance, but then they got a bit involved in the family, and that usually makes me cringe, but I didn’t like what they did there. The criticism is that the storyline for this specific group of operators is too limiting for the stories and can kill you if you go beyond the plot/villain of a season…it needs to be more comprehensive, so maybe they could make a new Homeland with more action and fast pace, or it risks becoming too episodic, like The Blacklist.
It’s entertaining even without being the History Channel that some commentators seem to prefer
PS: Nicole Kidman’s part so far is incredibly small and monotonous, and anyone else could have done it…Mi’ll see what the great Morgan Freeman brings to the show…But from what we’ve seen so far, the show can stand on its own without Zaldana and all the other A-listers. TLDR Overall, I’m cautiously optimistic, but I like what I’m seeing so far, everything is incredibly polished and well done.
