Story
An agnostic sex podcaster and a newly minted rabbi fall in love and find out if their relationship will survive their very different lives and meddling families. The show was originally called “Shiksa,” which is also the last word of the first episode. I’m a huge Kristen Bell fan and this show is great. The script is entertaining and intelligent, the chemistry is great, and the casting is perfect. My only regret is that the episodes are only half an hour long. I’m already through 6 out of 10. Adam Brody is great in his role and the script for his character is a smart progression. On a slightly different note, I’d like to say that I’ve noticed that a lot of my favorite shows lately have come from Netflix. Whether it’s this comedy or Turning Point the Bomb and the Cold War documentary, they’ve really stepped up. I love Kristen Bell once again as always. I wonder if there will ever be a The Good Place movie or a reunion? 🙂
