Story
Art the Clown prepares to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they sleep peacefully on Christmas Eve. Director Damien Leone said that several major studios were interested in financing the film based on the unexpected success of Terrifier 2 (2022), even without a complete script, but he turned them all down because he was sure they would never let him do it. just the opening scene, which is “highly controversial”. Leone commented that the only reason he can be so uncompromising in his portrayal of terror and gore is because he finances his film independently, creates all the special effects himself to keep costs down, and doesn’t have a major studio breathing down his neck.

Mia mentions that the 5th anniversary of the original massacre is coming up, but it happened on Halloween and this film, taking place 5 years later on Christmas, would mean that the anniversary is exactly 2 months ago. Julia’s sister: Julia, I thought I said stay away from me -[Art kills him with an axe]. There is an uncut version of the film that is 2 hours and 25 minutes long and includes 5 additional scenes. Everyone rated this film 1: No story; it’s just an excuse to feel sick. Each sequel is about kids going to camp (or NYC or outer space, LOL) and dying in increasingly creative ways. You’d think anyone who’s seen the third installment of the Terrifier series would know what to expect from this one. Considering there’s no real plot other than art being a celebratory murder; this time he’s accompanied by Viktória instead of the Pale Girl from the second film.

While the overall film is perhaps the most aesthetically pleasing (the Christmas aspect looks good and the gore/effects are more realistic), I prefer the raw and gritty feel of the original. There are some very imaginative murders – to the point where you wonder who thinks of these things – which adds to the shock and dark humor that fans appreciate. It doesn’t have the fantasy and supernatural aspects of Terrifier 2, which I wasn’t interested in anyway, so this film is a nice return for Art and his victims. A good opening sequence with a lot of suspense, plenty of screen time for Art’s tricks, a good climax and an ending that sets the table for Terrifier 4 (which has already been confirmed).
